"In a world where you can be anything, be kind"

The global pandemic has dramatically and abruptly changed our lives, Unfortunately, some have experienced illness, loss of means due to retrenchments, closing down of businesses, Worse, some people even lost their loved ones to COVID19. The majority of people all over the world are experiencing sadness, depression, fear, anxiety, and much more negative feelings towards the unpredictability of the future.

The Philippines is one of the high-risk countries with COVID19, giving a huge impact on the economy and thus making it harder for people living within and below poverty lines. Since the implementation of lockdowns, many Filipinos struggle to go back to their jobs with limited means of transportation and their fear of getting the disease.

During these tough times, we are always looking for ways to help each other out despite the current pandemic that we are hardly facing. From Oct. 19-25 2020, INCGiving.org, a project of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ) made a campaign called, "Make Kindness Contagious", a 7-day challenge that encourages volunteers to go into their communities and share their faith through acts of kindness. The Local Congregation of Carreon Village in the Ecclesiastical District of Quezon City participated in this challenge by providing free breakfast to indigent families in the community of Dona Faustina, Novaliches Quezon City, Philippines. Many children are seen to rush into the site with excitement leaving everything behind. Come what may, The brethren also shared their faith by handing out Pasugo: God's Message Magazine.

We are all aware that living is already hard and it gets harder every single day. Together, we can make a difference by keeping positivity and kindness as a priority and spreading it in any way possible. Research shows that when we cooperate and show kindness to our fellow humans, we become healthier, happier, and more successful. Visit INCGiving.org today to subscribe now and keep posted on CEBSI social media accounts to learn how you and your family can do your part in making kindness contagious!
